Security & Data Handling

Last updated: 17 June 2026

The Finansee service is operated by MB RGD solutions, a Lithuanian small partnership (mažoji bendrija), legal entity code 308006606, under the Finansee name. This page summarises, in plain English, how Finansee handles security and data. It does not replace the Privacy Policy, the Terms of Use or the Subprocessors page.

How access and data are handled

  • Account-based access. The protected Finansee IFRS 16 application requires an account. Each authenticated user sees the portfolios saved under their own account and any portfolios shared with them. Signing out ends your session.
  • Passwords. Passwords are stored only in hashed form. We cannot read your password; if you forget it, you reset it through the password-recovery flow, which emails a time-limited reset link.
  • Sessions. Signing in creates a server-side session, with a session cookie so you stay signed in across pages. Signing out ends the server-side session.
  • Cloud portfolio storage and sharing. You can save portfolios to your account, load them, share access with other Finansee users, and delete them. The portfolio owner controls who has access and can remove it at any time. Deleting a portfolio removes the cloud copy for everyone who had access; it does not close your account or delete copies already exported.
  • Excel exports. Once you download an export, the file sits on your device and any locations you send it to. Those copies are outside Finansee's control; we cannot recall or delete them.
  • Service providers. We use a small set of third-party providers to host, secure and run the service. They are listed, with more detail, on the Subprocessors page.

Your responsibilities

Choose a strong, unique password and keep it confidential; do not share your credentials. Invite only authorised people when you share a portfolio, and remove access when it is no longer needed. Sign out on shared devices, watch for phishing (genuine Finansee emails come from the finansee.lt domain), and avoid entering personal data you are not entitled to process or special categories of personal data.

Security limitations

No system can guarantee absolute security, and Finansee is no exception. We do not hold formal security certifications such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001. The allocation of risk between you and Finansee is set out in the Terms of Use and the Financial and Accounting Disclaimer.

Reporting a security concern

If you find a security issue, or suspect your account has been accessed without your permission, please contact us at ask@finansee.lt.
